Another month has gone and it’s time for my first monthly favourites of this year. Without further of due, let’s jump right into it.
Beauty Favourites
I love a clean face, don’t you? And this Kiehl’ Ultra Facial Cleanser does the job a million times better than any makeup remover I had. For a more detailed look on the cleanser here‘s my Kiehl’s post. The Body Shop Eye Cream is a great pick me up in the mornings, when I’m too tired and my eyes are really tiny. This eyes cube is refreshing and the Vitamin E helps to nourish my skin. Perfect for an instant wake me up moment.
A red lip is sometimes just what an outfit needs. I rediscovered my red lipstick from Sephora and this month I wore it a lot, for a nice day out or to party the night away. You can never go wrong with a statement lip, especially a red one. The Sephora lipstick is matt and the red is vibrant but with blue undertones which suit my skin tone very well. And not to forget it lasts all day/night long.
Technology Favourites
Funny thing, those two products I can’t actually show you, because I’m using them right about know. At the beginning of the year I decided to treat myself to a new camera lens since I’ve been wanting a new one for ages. I bought the Sony DT 35mm f/1.8 SAM, APS-C A-Mount camera lens. It’s amazing and I had a blast trying new things with it and omg the blurry background I can get now just makes all the difference to my photography.
The other thing I got is a new SD Card with integrated Wifi. My camera didn’t have Wifi or Bluetooth built in and this card is a game changer. Now I can load my images directly on to my phone without the dreaded uploading to my computer, then transferring to my phone way. I bought the Transcend SDHC Wi-Fi Card and it’s working really well with my iPhone.
The third favourite of this category has to be my new blog design! I can’t tell you guys how happy I am and it was quite easy to install. I got mine from Pipdig and installed, set it up all by myself. It took me a good hour until I had everything the way I wanted and it was personalized but that was it. How do you like it?
Other Favourites
Moving on to some other favourites – it was time for a haircut this month. My last one was last July and the split ends were driving me nuts. So I booked an appointment. My hairdresser didn’t change a lot. The split ends were cut off and my layers were adjusted. Now my hair feels healthy all around!
The last thing on the list is my skiing holiday with my lovely boyfriend. We had a couple of wonderful days in the mountains with lots of snowboarding/skiing, good food, wellness, blue skies and the sun. Although it was a short trip, it was a welcomed break from my Uni work.
So these were my January Favourites. It was a little bit of everything. Tell me what have you been loving this month? xx
I am also loving that cleanser at the moment, so refreshing on the skin!
