First off, we finally had our first snow of the winter and with the colder months I also changed up my skincare routine to keep it healthy and in shape.
4 must haves for your winter skincare
- Toner: Before I go to the creams and serums, I start of by prepping my skin with a toner. I just recently bought the Eau Roma Water from Lush and I just love it. It’s a mild toner and works perfectly with my skincare routine.
- The right Eye Cream: I finally invested in an eye cream and oh boy am I glad I did. Since I already use a night oil from the Body Shop I ventured out and bought the Aloe Eye Defence Cream. It is a smoothing, moisturising cream-gel with prebiotics to reinforce the skin’s natural shield. I think with the colder temperature, it’s especially important to moisturize and protect your skin and this eye cream-gel does all of it and leaves my eyes happy all day long.
- Skin Serum: I know I talked about it already in one of my monthly favourites but for me it’s essential to add a serum to my skincare routine. For years I’ve been using the Full of Grace Serum Bar. A lovely blend of oils and portobello mushrooms leave a light moisturizing layer on my skin.
- Face Cream: In the winter you can never have too much protection for you skin. So adding to my skincare routine, on days I have to leave my house, I dab on a little of the Celestial Face Cream from Lush. It leaves a protective layer and makes your skin feel extra smooth.
After doing my routine I continue to add as usual my makeup and go on with my day. I find with the Celestial Face Cream, I have to really work it in, so that it doesn’t interfere with my makeup, but other than that my skin will look and feel healthy all day around.
Night time winter skincare
Let’s not forget that for that perfect looking skin, you also need the right products for your night time skin routine. After removing my makeup I use the same toner as in the morning. Then I add some of the Aloe Eye Defence and as for my face cream, I use the Vinoperfect Overnight Renewal Cream from Caudalie. I started using it in November and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and ready for the day, when I wake up.
So those are all my skin care essentials. Which one’s are yours or do you have any recommendations for me? Let me know in the comment section down below.
Have lovely day my beauties, xx

I remember eyeing that serum bar at Lush once! Maybe I should give it a try now?
Your skincare routine seems very well put together, btw! 🙂
I can’t say anything negative about the serum. It’s seriously so good. Thanks, it hasn’t been like this always :). xx
I’ve been looking for a good serum to try so this is perfect! Also for moisturizing, my pick is Yu-be moisturizing skin cream. It’s really, really effective at a little bit keeping your skin super smooth and soft all day.
I love the Serum can’t see myself changing it up any time soon. Oh that sounds like a lovely moisturiser. Always nice when a little goes a long way. xx
