October Haul | the ultimate blogger camera & some high street goodies

I like a good haul, don’t you?! So I threw together an October Haul for you guys. I’ve got the ultimate blogger camera for you guys and some great high street beauty and fashion products.

Hourglass – Ambient Lighting Blush

I’ve been lusting over some Hourglass products ever since they all appeared on everybody’s wish list last Christmas. But I just couldn’t justify spending so much money on some beauty products then. Nowadays I like to treat myself every now and then. When I was on holiday in Mexico I made a quick trip in to Sephora and when I saw that they had an Hourglass counter I couldn’t hold myself back.

Just look at it! Isn’t it just beautiful. There were so many nice products but I went in the end with the Ambient Lighting Blush in the colour incandescent electra. I’ve been wearing it non-stop since getting it. A little goes a long way and who can say no to a blush that doubles up to a light highlighter too! I’m so happy I got it and I’m actually getting even more use out of it than I initially thought. So that’s a plus!

Ego Velvet Plush Slippers

I’ve been looking everywhere for some good Gucci dupe slippers. When I saw Sinead mention those gorgeous shoes from Ego in one of her hauls I knew I had to get them. They are the “Alani Faux Fur Lined Slip On Mule In Black Velvet“. When I went on their website there were only a few sizes left. I didn’t know if a 4 fittet me but I wanted them so badly that I just ordered them. When they arrived I put them straight on and oh my they fit just right! I’m so glad I got them. Sadly they have been sold out but they’re still available in red and pink (looking just as beautiful). Ego do some amazing shoes and they are so affordable too. Currently I retired my “Gucci” slippers how I like to call them, from street shoes to house shoes. Feeling all fancy when I’m walking around them in my flat – lol.

the Olympus Pen E-PL8

After my holiday I knew it was tie to get myself a new camera. Not that I don’t like my Sony Alpha any more but like every DSLR it’s just to bulky and heavy to carry around on a daily basis or on holiday. I still love my DSLR however for those outfit shots and when I’m out and about I needed something more practical. When looking around and reading blogs I kept seeing the Olympus Pen and I have to admit compared to my other options and my research, although every other blogger so it seems has the camera, I got it myself too.

Since getting my Olympus Pen E-PL8, I’ve been taking it everywhere I go. It’s just such a handy size and the pictures are great quality. I didn’t get the camera with the standard lens since I still wanna get that blurry background and opted for the 17 mm lens with a f-stop of 1.8. Now doubt I’ll be getting so much use out of it!

Muted Pink Handbag with gold details

It was time to invest in a new handbag, especially one I can take on my nights out. Lately it seems like metal details and especially hoops etc. are on trend. When I saw this cute New Look bag in this muted pink, I knew this was the one. It has a gold chain if you want a cross body bag but I actually prefer just using it as a clutch. The bag has a perfect size. My wallet fits in it, some tissues, lipstick, keys, phone and my new camera – yay!

So this is it for my October Haul. It’s has quite a varaity of products. I’m really happy with each and one of them and I can’t recommend them enough.

What did you like the most from my October Haul?

Have a great evening my lovelies and don’t forget to follow me on my social media Instagram / Twitter / FB and Bloglovin’, I’ll be forever thankful. xx

Your photos are absolutely stunning, Lea! I love those shoes from Ego, I have a pair of their over-the-knee black boots at the moment and I’m such a big fan of them, they’re surprisingly comfy and I can walk round in them all day! That handbag looks like amazing quality, I’d never have guessed you’d got it on the high street if you hadn’t said, it looks pricey! Bargain! Hope the rest of your October is filled with equally lovely things!

I think I just ruined my Canon 100d and I’m seriously considering an Oplympus now. Because like you said, DSLRs are just sooooo heavy to carry around. xx

Can I just say that your photography is bomb. I’m going to be following your future posts because it’s so crisp and beautiful. I presume you use the Sony Alpha to photograph the Pen? I’ve been thinking about getting the Hourglass blush, but it’s so pricey, glad you got it in the end. Can’t believe that bag is from New Look, I love it.

Ooo damn now I’m kind of wishing I bought my olympus camera in white, it looks so nice! I love my DSLR as well but my olympus is a life saver when I travel, it’s so light to carry and it still takes beautiful photos!

You don’t know how long I was debating on the colour of my Olympus white won in the end cause my DSLR is already a black one. And you are so right – best life saver ever! Wish I would have bought it before my Mexico Travels. xx
