It’s time for my summer beauty favourites. It’s been a few weeks, well months since my last beauty post and what better way to start it off with my summer beauty products. I do have some old favourites and some new ones I got in London.
Bobbi Brown – Long-Wear Sparkle Stick
I have wanted some Bobbi Brown makeup for a while and when I heard back in spring about the sparkle sticks I knew, I had to have a look at them. So, I treated myself to one of them. I went with Aurora Pink, a lovely pink sparkle that makes my blue eyes pop. They are so easy to wear, just glide over the lid and blend a little with the finger and you are good to go.
Laura Mercier – Loose Setting Powder
The second beauty product I got back in London was the all so hyped Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. After my dear friend got in wouldn’t shut up about it, I bit the bullet and replaced my old setting powder with the Laura Mercier one. It makes for a really good summer beauty staple. I pad it in with a powder puff and I am set for the whole day.
Benefit – Highlighter & Bronzer
Everybody likes that glow on the cheeks or so I do. And the high beam highlighter from Benefit is always a good choice. It’s so easy to apply and lasts all day. It’s a liquid highlighter and has served me so well the last year. A tiny amount goes a long way too. And how could I not mention a really old favourite – my Benefit hoola bronzer. It’s great if I’m wearing just some sun cream and mascara but still wanna look that bit extra glam when I am on the boat and waking on some hoola bronzer makes all the difference.
Hourglass – Ambient Lighting Blush
Back in September in Mexico, I treated myself to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in the colour Incandescent Electra. I have been using it every single day and I couldn’t leave it out of my summer beauty favourites list. Before my Hourglass blush, I wasn’t a blush kind of girl. But this just shows you with the right product you can totally be a blush girl.
Kat von D – Lock-it Concealer
I needed a new concealer and since I heard just amazing things about the Kat von D lock-it concealer, I went with it. It’s so nice to put on, melts into your skin and covers up any of my blemishes perfectly. Even in hotter weather, it stays on and on. It was my first “high end” concealer and I must say, best choice I could make. It sometimes really makes a different spending a little bit more on some products.
ready for summer
So I am all set for summer with these summer beauty favourites. How about you? Do you have some bits you always take out when summer arrives? Let me know in the comments below.

Great post! I love your photos, I love the hoola bronzer! I need to try hour glass though haha their products and packaging are so beautiful x
These are amazing products! That setting powder is MY LIFE. if you love her setting powder, you’d love her brightening powder!! It’s for setting the undereye after you conceal, and brightens the area. I use it daily and wouldn’t leave without it. Highly recommended! Also the bronzer you mention is great too! Loved this post.
I try to keep my makeup simple. I’m always looking for new highlighters, so I’ll definitely look into this one!
